Togo- Ambassadors of Nigeria and India officially took office yesterday

The ambassadors of Nigeria and India in Togo presented on Friday July 23, 2021, their credentials to the Togolese Head of State, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.

The Nigerian new representative in Togo is Adesina Julius Adebowale. He was previously the editor of “The Guardian” newspaper.

The new Indian ambassador is Sanjiv Tandon, a career diplomat.

“India and Togo have enjoyed close ties of friendship for years. To strengthen our bilateral relations, the Indian government has decided to open a resident embassy, ​​a symbol of the importance we attach to our cooperative ties. I welcome these reciprocal commitments, ”said Sanjiv Tandon.

As a reminder, Exim Bank of India has just granted a loan of 40 million dollars to Togo for a solar electrification project of 350 localities.
